Biography
Originally from Panama, Mayte came to Oklahoma State University to pursue a Master of Science in Animal Reproduction in the Department of Animal Science in 2003. After completing her M.S. degree, she continued her education and completed the Veterinary Technician program at Tulsa Community College graduating in 2007.
Mayte started working at Oklahoma State University's Veterinary Medical Hospital as
a floating technician in 2008. Shortly after that, she took an anesthesia technician position in the anesthesia department. Last year she transferred to the Oncology and Theriogenology departments.
Mayte is married and has two children. She spends her free time with family and her horses.
